Nike always seems to create just the right shoe at just the right time, don’t they? A few weeks ago, I decided to get serious about getting back in shape. I haven’t been to the gym in a while, but I knew that running could help me get back into the swing of things. I’m not much of a runner, but I could push myself to complete a good two miles (shout out to the Nike Run Club app for helping me keep track). Enter Nike, on cue, with the new Nike Joyride Run Flyknit. “ Damn Nike, back at it again with the cozy on.” This shoe feels AMAZING and, once again, the style is so unique.
The Joyride Run is very lightweight and form fitting to your foot. The sole of the shoe is filled with soft beads that are visible through the translucent sole and sides of the shoe. Nike made the Joyride Run midsole slightly thinner, and removed the sock liner, so you can actually feel the support of the beads with each step. I’ve never felt anything like it. Now when I run, this feature gives me an added bounce, along with added comfort.
In the past, I’ve only ever run on a treadmill. The Joyride Run makes me want to be outside and on the pavement. One reason being that the design of the shoe makes me feel super confident. You guys know me, outfit coordination is my thing. This is even true when I get active. I mentioned before that I wanted to welcome brighter tones for the summer and I’m sticking to it. I paired the Joyride shoe with a neon orange Nike Dri-Fit running tank, Gray 9” Nike Challenger running shorts, and Nike Elite running socks. Keeping it light. Don’t forget to drop a comment below to let me know what you think of the fit.
