AF1 w NIKE

The Nike Air Force 1 is definitely amongst the most iconic sneakers of all time. In my opinion the AF1 is a “Mega Classic” and over the last few years they’ve come back like they never left. First produced in 1982, with a small hiatus from ’84-’86, the air force 1 is one of the longest lasting sneakers in footwear history. “Uptowns” were super heavy in Harlem and tons of other places across the US. Nelly even made the  song “Air Force Ones” about them and it honestly still plays in my head every time I wear a pair. This shoe is so iconic that even in other countries, like London, the AF1 seems to be the shoe of choice.

Growing up, wearing some Air Force Ones was a statement. On the first day of school a fresh pair of forces didn’t only determined who talked to you, but how they talked to you, too. Crazy, I know! I remember only wearing AF1’s from 6th grade to almost my junior year in high school. I don’t think I even wanted another shoe for some of that time. The AF1 low is a recent favorite. My former Air Force 1 of choice was the mid., but now the lows are the perfect shoe for how I dress.

Recently, my love for AF1 lows have grown tremendously and I seem to always end up wearing them with wide leg pants. I just think that, at this point in my life, the silhouette looks amazing. So, for this fit I paired my AF1s with a pair of wide leg dress pants, an off white T-shirt, and a vintage work shirt. I topped the fit off with an off white side bag, to hold my goodies (like AirPods, etc.). Don’t forget to drop a comment and let me know what you think of the fit.
